Public speaking

Karla would love to speak to your group! She has addressed book clubs, church groups, writers' groups, students, women's groups, academic organizations, and seniors' groups. She has conducted writing workshops and participated in charitable events for Junior League of Rockford, Rockford Literary Council, Children's Home and Aid Society, Autism Speaks, and Northern Illinois Hospice.

In 2012, Karla was the keynote speaker for Rock Valley College's 28th Annual Writing Awards ceremony. She has coached many authors and taught writing classes for Rock Valley College Center for Learning in Retirement, the Rockford Public Library, and the YMCA's Artful Aging Program.
